YSA Education are Seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our team in an SEMH setting. As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for educating and inspiring students in the field of Science. You will have the opportunity to create engaging lesson plans, conduct experiments in the laboratory and foster a love for scientific discovery.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Teach students various scientific concepts and theories
- Conduct laboratory experiments to provide hands-on learning experiences
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback on assignments assessments
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Use effective behaviour management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment
- Provide individualised instruction to students who require additional support
- Collaborate with other Teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience
- Monitor and guide students in their scientific research projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification or license in Science Education
- Proven experience in tutoring or mentoring students
- Strong knowledge of scientific principles, including biochemistry and mathematics
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and engage students in learning
- Familiarity with special education strategies and accommodations
- Proficient in proofreading and providing constructive feedback on student work
