YSA Education are currently looking for Residential Support Workers, looking for a new role as a SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a School Educational environment across Birmingham and Solihull.
YSA Education are working with SEN Schools and Colleges across Birmingham supporting recruitment on long-term, permanent basis. We are currently looking for passionate, resilient and understanding care workers looking to transition into working within education settings and make a difference in the care that young people receive and help raise attainment. Your role as a SEN Teaching Assistant would be to work 1-1 or in small groups to support the pupils in either the KS1 class or the KS4 class on a full-time, long-term basis alongside the Teacher.
Role Requirements:
- A nurturing individual with a passion for working with children looking to transition to working within a school environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team, alongside teaching staff.
- Prior experience of working with individuals with medical/emotional and/or challenging behaviour.
- Able to use their initiative to support learning.
- Comfortable with personal care.
Benefits:
- Typical full-time school hours (08:30am-3:30pm)
- Long-term until the end of the academic year to permanent roles.
- £85-£95 per day.

- DBS Refund.
Requirements:
- DBS on the update service or willing to get one.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Experience working within a residential care setting, SEMH/PMLD/personal care.
The suitable applicants must have experience or willing to gain experience within special needs. Support will be provided for any individual with care background looking to transition into a role within school as a teaching assistant.
