Do you have experience supporting children with SEN needs?
YSA Education are currently working with an all through special school in North Birmingham that provides for children between the ages of 4-18 years. The school is an alternative provision for children with SEMH and challenging behaviour. Your role as a SEN Teaching Assistant would be to work 1-1 to support the pupils in either the KS2 class or the KS3 class on a full-time, long-term basis alongside the Teacher. Class size range between 6-10 pupils and Team Teach would be beneficial but not a necessity.
Role requirements:
- A nurturing individual with a passion for working with children.
- Ability to work as part of a team, alongside teaching staff.
- Prior experience of working with challenging behaviour.
- Able to use their initiative to support learning.
Benefits:
- Full time school hours (08:30am-3:30pm)
- SEND TA (KS2 age groups and KS3 age groups needed)

- Long-term until the end of the academic year at the least.
- £85-£90 per day.

Requirements:
- DBS on the update service or willing to get one.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Experience working with SEMH/ Challenging Behaviour (does not have to be in a school setting)
The suitable applicants must have experience or willing to gain experience within special needs. Support will be provided for any teaching assistants that feel they have transferable experience.
