A renowned Special Educational Needs School in the Telford region are currently looking to expand their team of staff due to an increase in pupil numbers. The school is set in beautiful countryside woodland, with acres of land for the children and staff to use during lessons and break out time. They support and educate children with autism from the ages of 9 years to 19 years and work closely as a team to ensure a safe and stimulating environment is provided to all pupils. The school offers a wide range of resources and frequent training to all staff members, enabling every child to access a good education that meets their own needs.
Job role:
- Hours are Monday- Friday 9am-3pm
- Long term temporary to permanent position
- Supporting children with Autism, personal care will be required at times
- Driving license preferable as limited access via public transport
- ASAP start
What we are looking for:
- Experience working with special educational needs preferable
- Experience in either a classroom based role OR as a care worker
- Fully enhanced child and adult DBS or must be willing to obtain one
- A genuine passion for helping to support children with additional needs. (Extra training can be provided for the right candidates)
- Strong work ethic
